The chapters grapple with classical and contemporary issues that have significant meaning and application in today’s society among others, education and its credibility in universities, economic freedom, the Hesburgh model in development, Adventist immigrants, academic inbreeding, home-school partnership, authority and leadership, divorce prevalence and future relationship formations, music in worship, women ministries and ordination in today’s Adventist generation and beyond. The authors argue that the Adventist institutions of learning should launch a renewed curriculum mix that can help to develop the capacity of the learners to have coping skills to achieve their future outcomes in life and be able to relate with God in contact with the general public. In the main, the authors posit that parents, schools and Adventist churches must place value in their children and help them improve the quality of their lives and that of their communities through first rate education as a return on investment and springboard for sustainable development in pursuit of the Lord’s return. Therefore, further research is needed to explore an in-depth Adventism, society and sustainable development discourse, in order to promote rigorous and open dialogic engagement.
